So everyone has arrived and we are 25 strong. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like so many more people than at the last conference. While we haven't officially started the confference these two "get to know you, and see the island days" have done a great job of bringing us together and helping us to understand what kind of place we are in.
Today, as per the schedule, we went to Shaw's Gardens and Dunn's River Falls. The day started off slowly but soon picked up. The gardens were absolutely beautiful and provided an amazing look-out onto the bay and surrounding ocean. After the tour around the gardens, seeing beautiful flowers and enormous trees we werefor the beach. After a short ride to Dunn's River Falls we hopped out of the bus and almost immediately split into the fallsclimbing group andthe chilling on the beach group. I was with the climbing group and had a blast. I've walked rivers and climbed waterfalls but none have been as fun or as crowded as today. After getting to the top we walked back down to the beach and sprawled out to soak up the sun, periodically getting up to cool off in the ocean. After four hours of Dunn's River Falls we packed up our stuff and headed back to Moneague. What a day! Sergei films the waterfalls at Dunn's River
